The "Kneecap Interactive Web Interface" is the first major product released by Kneecap Design to help site owners have more control over the content and news that they like to keep updated in their web site. The system allows for secure access with multiple access levels for different users.
The addition of Kiwi to this already functioning and successful music site is a great example of how adding technology can create a more efficient process in managing your site. Future plans for FortWayneMusic.com involve the creation of a larger PHP/MySQL based admin backend that will be instrumental in syndicating the concept of the site across the United States.
CollegeHumor.Com : As the leading online entertainment site for college aged students anywhere on the net, CollegeHumor.Com came to us needing user interaction on their site. With millions of pageviews per day, the opportunity for fellow users to interact was seemingly endless. Therefore, we presented the owners of CollegeHumor.Com with the idea of installing a customized version of one of the most popular web bulletin board systems on the net. Within 2 days of completing the installation and modification of the scripts, there were already hundreds of posts from their dedicated users.
This example of site enhancement provides a prime example of how the incorporation of the improvement of the user experience can increase site activity and increase the return rate for visitors. If they have something to come back to, such as the answer to a question they posted on the boards, then there is a significantly better chance that they will return.
Proxtronics, Inc. : Proxtronics, Inc. is a leader in radiation monitoring and exposure reporting services. In late 2000, they consolidated their customer, billing and exposure reporting databases into a new proprietary format. Seeing a need for added value in what they provide, they came to Kneecap Design in need of a creative way for their clients to access this information. This project allows customers to download exposure reports, update information and request new products and services for their business. On the back end, account managers have access to an administrative tool which provides detailed information about account changes and user actions.

Camden Military Academy : One of the oldest and most respected young men's military boarding schools in the Southeast is also a long-time client of Kneecap Design. When they felt the need to advance into the digital age to help with their recruiting and campus life, we were ready to help. Some of the services we have provided to Camden include web based email and online school news updates (with web based admin panels). In the future, we plan to work with their alumni relations to help increase communication with graduates of the school and other "friends & family."
As with many businesses, the staff of Camden Military is not comprised of computer scientists, therefore the need for an easy way to modify and update information on their site was essential. We created a news listing page that is managed through a series of server scripts. This means that while all they see a form, the users of the site get the information they need. Just another way that Kneecap Design is helping our clients meet their goals.
